Specialized
Animal Habitats
(click on images to view enlargements)
| Below is a custom built habitat for Vampire Bats that we created for the Organization for Bat Conservation at the Cranbrook Institute of Science, in Michigan. Including all of the Stalactites, the artificial rock portion of this exhibit only weighs about 4 pounds per square foot, yet it is rigid and durable and will not be damaged by the sharp claws of the bats. It can easily and conveniently be hosed off for periodic cleaning. |

| The images directly above and below show how well the colony has acclimated to their new environment. They are free to roam as they please on a surface whose texture is gritty enough for them to really dig into, despite a "city bat" status that would otherwise not challenge their climbing and maneuvering skills. A more stimulating environment is a healthier more productive environment. |

| And finally,
the picture below is a sound and accurate depiction of the color treatment we used for the bat cave installation. It was taken before we actually introduced the Vampire bats and shows the density and variation of
the stalactites on the horizontal plane. |

| Shown below is the head Zoologist and her two assistants at the Louisville Zoo holding one of our 35 foot indestructible
Orangu-Tame vines. These come with a 10 year warranty specifically with Orangutans in mind. As all zoo personnel know, they are, by far, the most curiously
destructive primates on the planet. With our new Space Age rubber, impregnated with stainless steel fibers and a 31,000 pound test ocean liner rope, they have finally met their match. |

| Above are four vine sample cross sections and their respective item order numbers. The V -04 is close to the Orangu-Tame vine we show above, but not quite the same. The V -04 , being 4 inches in diameter, is our largest vine but not our strongest. It is designed for mature Gorilla habitats because of its thickness. The V-0l is our smallest (about 1" in diameter) and designed for smaller creatures such as bats, chimps, Sloths, etc., either with
or without foliage. Please call for custom pricing or standard price breaks, which are based on the number of linear feet ordered. A suggestion here is to try to place your order in the early Spring or early Fall. (Because of the process we use, our vines are considerably more cost effective to produce during these months of milder climate). |
